Using a nonbreakdash in a header screws up its entry in the TOC when 
exported to pdflatex or DVI. Export to plaintext does not produce a dash 
at all in the TOC.

Also, the moment you remove the standard layout paragraph, the error in 
the other post ("Nonbreakdash in section header confuses latex") gets 
triggered.
