Hi Lyx-Devel-Team,
LyX crashes whenever I open a child document the second
time. I compiled LyX from source
(ftp://ftp.devel.lyx.org/pub/lyx/devel/)
What do you need in order to find the bug?
The steps to reproduce the bug are as follows:
1. Open the main document
2. In the outline window click on the "child document" header 3. The
child document opens in a separate tab
4. Close this tab
5. Do "2" again (click on the "child document" header in the outline
window
6. lyx: SIGSEGV signal caught
I can't reproduce this because (2)-(3) doesn't seem to work for me. I
can click on the filename of the child document, but it doesn't open
it anywhere.
Same for me. The child documents shouldn't open in tab at this point. If
they do, that's the real bug. Here the cursor moves to the include
inset, as it should do.
I tried with the newest svn ...
In the outliner should be "Table of Contents" (not "Child Documents")
I get the crash again.
I don't understand. What is the recipe then? The original report had us
clicking on something in the child documents bit.
Ok then, I try to make it clear with a concrete example.
Open the outliner in mode "Table of Content" like in picture Plugins2.jpq
Click on "2.1 Das ...", you get a new tab with the child document like in
Plugins3.jpg.
Now closing this tab and then clicking again results in a crash.
This works fine for me with the embedded object help document. Do you
have the 'master document' option set in the child document?
Abdel.
