Hi,

I think I have located the problem.

I was downloading the .sty files to the MiKTex2.7 directory, but LyX was looking in the MiKTeX2.6 directory. Even though MiKTeX2.7 was installed at the same time as LyX. I changed where LyX was looking for the files and it is now working.

Cheers,
        Nigel

Subject: LyX not finding installed .sty files

Platform: Windows XP
LyX: 1.5.6
MiKTeX: 2.7 (2.6 is still installed on my PC)

Hi,

I have installed some .sty files as required for my LyX document using MiKTeX but when I try to create a DVI to view the output I receive an error advising me of a Latex error. This error being that the .sty files could not be found.

I'm assuming this is a problem other people would have had and have looked unsuccessfully on the internet for a solution. If the answer is out there would you point me to it, please. If not, what do I do so that the programmes know where the style files are?

Many thanks in anticipation.

Cheers,
        Nigel
