I think we should aim at fixing all the critical bugs for the 1.6.0 release (given that we can reproduce it and that fixing does not mean "wait until Abdel finds the time to do it"). Then we should sort out the (remaining) issues with non-ascii paths on Windows. And we should go through the list to check whether there are leftovers that need a file format change and that should not wait until 1.7.0. Jürgen
