math-mode feature or bug?

Hi!

I would like to report the following bug in the mathmode:

1. create a new document (File/New)
2. open math-mode by clicking on the toolbar or by selecting Math/Math
   Mode in menu
3. type "\alpha " and enjoy LyX dumping a core.
