as usual in this list August is a quiet month. :-)
In order to continue the work to 1.6.0 I propose to release rc2 next
Thursday. The purpose is to have a fresh release before the increase of
activity that I expect in September.
A fresh release serves better the testing of users that do not follow
svn on
a frequent basis. So in order to ease the debug and testing procedures I will
flush all the changes and fixes into rc2.
Resume: next rc2 on Thursday. I will turn the compiler flags on
Wednesday and
ask for testing before the official release. In order to remove any ambiguity
the released source packages will have the svn revision number used to
generate them.
