LyX behaves somewhat oddly in this case. E.g., make a table, put some content in it. Select multiple cells and hit Insert>Index. Something happens, but it's not at all clear what should happen, if anything. I've disabled some LFUNs that were causing worse problems in such cases. Should we also disable LFUN_INDEX_INSERT in that case? What about other LFUNs?
