i have something like this in mind, but for git actually... it will be to
much changes for 1.6.
but to add support for svn (on the level of cvs) seems to be easy bussines of
copy and paste from cvs code (nearly:) without beeing invasive to other parts
of code.
much worse is that we lack any error detection and the whole machinery is
constructed that it would needs bigger surgery...
i'm trying to put at least some info to status line now.
Good. I've been thinking about working on this for a while and just had
too many other things to do....
