After this message, I will remove the subscriber's only requirement to
the list.

A few remarks (and important to those who could not post to the list
anymore)

1) If you know that you will be posting from a different address, you
can subscribe that address to the list as well without receiving
duplicate messages.  All you need to do is to subscribe to the `allow'
list.

For the devel list:

echo| mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]

For the users list:

echo| mail [EMAIL PROTECTED]

You can unsub similarly.


2) I could not block these viral messages based on subject: there were
   (eventually) 12 different subjects.

3) I will not authenticate based on From: or any other fields.  It is
   insecure, and much easier to forge than envelope sender.  Just
   consider the fact that over 20 of these messages had list
   subscribers in the From: line---while only 3 had subscribers as
   envelope sender.
