while i agree on the document setting solution, i'm afraid this would turn
into the new project, because once you have the "export notes" checkbox,
you start ask why after all we all these types of notes; it introduce
fileformat change, which may be completely useless once the notes are
refactored, etc.
Well, I see the document setting as an export option that may override
any local setting. But you're right that local settings are probably not
useful.
