OK, you inspired me to at least take a look and come up with something new.
Here's a proposal that's not thought through completely, but it might be a
starting point for ... possibly nothing. I've eliminated the Document and
Tools menus and added Format, Arrange, and Window menus. You'll also note
the Mac-standard inclusion of a LyX menu, the contents of which should go
elsewhere for other platforms.
So ... have at it.
