I am no siamltex user at all, so this is purely from the developer's point of 
view. Personally, I am interested in improving any layout as far as possible. 
However, I do not want to replace one layout by another without having heard 
the vote of the original maintainer, in this case Kornelia Pietsch (Pönitz). 
Minor changes are a different story.
