By the way, this reminds me to tell you that we have LFUN_COMMAND_SEQUENCE to avoid repetitive '-x' option. In your example that would be:

Yes, it can also be done that way. The support for multiple -x's is basically necessary, though, since "-e pdf" is actually treated as shorthand for: -x "buffer-export pdf".
