The previous email maybe was too wordy, let me summarize:
IMHO not starting the LyXServer when there are existing .lyxpipe files is a bad choice, because after a crash _once_, it leaves the user _forever_ with a non-funtional LyXServer.
LyX could instead: 1) Blindly recreate the Lyx-Pipe(but a second started LyX instance then would hijacks the pipe - is this actually a problem?)
