For some reason Lyx 1.6 alpha 2 has difficulty handling the following
URL (long)
entertainment.timesonline.co.uk/tol/arts_and_entertainment/specials/for_your_eyes_only/article3684635.ece
When this is entered into the URL inset, LyX throws up two errors when
attempting to create a PDF from the document. Both of the errors are
entitled "Missing $ inserted". The details for each one is
" ...als/for_your_eyes_only/article3684635.ece}
I've inserted a begin-math/end-math symbol since I think
you left one out. Proceed, with fingers crossed.
"
and
" ...als/for_your_eyes_only/article3684635.ece}
I've inserted something that you may have forgotten.
(See the <inserted text> above.)
With luck, this will get me unwedged. But if you
really didn't forget anything, try typing `2' now; then
my insertion and my current dilemma will both disappear.
"
Having failed an attempt to build a PDF from a document containing the
URL, LyX begins to throw up an error if the raw URL is pasted as text
into the document.
My platform is Windows 2000 and I used the installer binary to install LyX.
