you have qt 4.4, right? :) either downgrade to qt 4.3, or compile 1.5.5svn
yourself or wait a week for the official 1.5.5 release.

Or take a chance on the Debian unstable version, which has applied Abdel's patch
http://packages.debian.org/sid/i386/lyx/download
substituting i386 for something else if you have a different arch.
