A new file format does not require any longer to change LyX.py The tradeoff is that it needs to read the values from last convertion file everytime it uses lyx2lyx. The overhead should be negligible. Just before a stable release we replace the list of formats and so stable releases will never suffer this delay. -- José Abílio
