Do we still need this one?

Here's my plan for various "wikis". The following two wikis will always use the same page store, i.e. it doesn't matter which "entry point" you use to modify pages:

* http://www.lyx.org/index.php - Web wiki version, CMS "skin"
* http://www.lyx.org/wiki/index.php     - Wiki version, PmWiki skin

These two will be the live version of the web site, but with two different entry points, depending on what you want to do. It might not be necessary to have the 'wiki' version, we'll see. (Configuring it and maintaining it is quite easy using a farm installation, so the cost is low).

The following two wikis are for testing purposes, i.e. if we want to try out new features or structures, but without affecting the live web site.
Or try out a new version of the pmwiki software. Or add a new recipe.
Especially if we want to combine wiki.lyx.org with www.lyx.org, using
a single wiki in the backend.

* http://www.lyx.org/test/index.php - Test web wiki wiki, CMS "skin"
* http://www.lyx.org/wiki/index.php - Test wiki version, PmWiki skin

These two wikis might not use the same wiki page store as the above, but it's likely that they will most of the time.

So, to answer your question if we still need the test wiki: Yes.

I prefer to not make large or dangerous adjustments to the live wiki, so that it's always available for users. Maybe that's too ambitious, but otherwise you're bound to end up with a broken site just at the moment when you don't have time to fix it...
