I vote for such a solution. Sourceforge is for me not an option as it is often also down or very
slow. Therefore I hosted my LyX installer at berlios.de, but all these project hosters have server
downtimes or times where any access takes minutes as often as lyx.org had the last year.
With hosters like dedibox we have guaranteed RAID backup and guaranteed maximal server down times.
If they have a technical problem, they will do the best they can to get it working again due to the
various other hosting contracts they have. When there are planned works, we are informed and could
announce this some days before on our webpage if needed.
Abdel, if you need any help to do this change, I'help you.
Of course we should agree to this before starting any actions.
