Please let me know that you agree or disagree with having everything
implemented through one wiki, with URIs mapped as follows:
URI -> wiki:<Group>/<Page>
* wiki.lyx.org/<Group>/<Page> <Group>/<Page>
* www.lyx.org/<Page> Official/<Page>
* www.lyx.org/devel/<Page> OfficialDevel/<Page>
Does anyone have objections to the above?
No...
Or perhaps simply wondering what the heck I'm talking about...
Yes......
[Well, I have no idea about the details, but the general directions
looks ok and likely to find consensus...]
You only need to understand the general direction, but I realised I forgot
to end my post with the most important questions...
* What name should be used for the wiki group that contains the pages that
comprise the official web pages?
* What name should be used for the wiki group that contains the pages that
comprise the official developers web pages?
Among the old suggestions, I'm leaning towards 'Official' and
'OfficialDevel', but as the name change will require a bit of manual work,
I'd like to come up with good names now instead of later...
Groups names for the web pages:
Web pages Developers' pages
* Official/ OfficialDevel/
* Official/ DevelOfficial/
* Web/ WebDevel/
* WWW/ WWWDevel/
* Users/ Developers/
* UsersWeb/ DevelopersWeb/
* WebUsers/ WebDevelopers/
* Main/ ? Developer/ ?
I we e.g. used 'Web' and 'WebDevel'. This would mean that a general wiki
page can link to an official page, like the download page, by the
following link:
Wiki markup Renders as..
... [[Web/download]] ... download
It also means that if a user searches for something, and it is found in
one of the official web pages, e.g. Web/Download, the name of that page
will be listed as
Web/Download
So.. it is good if the name of the group illustrates that it is from
the web page, or that it's an official page, or something...
