Yesterday I started the second attempt to begin with the documentation update for LyX 1.6 and here's
my impression:
Trunk is much more stable than the first previews of LyX 1.5svn were, but I encountered some bugs
that make it hard to use:
- selecting/highlighting is not working properly and is very, very slow. (Try to highlight several
paragraphs by pressing Shift+Arrow Key.)

- Redo is broken:

- deleting big document parts crashes LyX:

- We have a general bad implementation of the label and index handling in
section headings:

Due to this one, the new index entry inset can now break the compilation of documents. Therefore the
UserGuide can currently not be compiled:

(yes there is a trik to compile it anyway, but this bug is a must-fix in my
opinion)
