Hi Abdel,

thanks for the quick answer. I'll try my best to improve my bugreport.

This seems to work now, I have no idea what went wrong. Sorry for the false
alarm.

Known bug I think, we just need someone to look at it.

Let's suppose that we search the string "the" in the text "This is the
text". Before the search, the cursor (caret) position (marked here as _) is
in front of "This": "_This is the text". LyX searches and finds the word
"the" and puts the cursor behind it: "This is the_ text". So, searching
seems to work properly. But, when the expression, that I am searching, is in
a lower part of the text, so that you have to scroll down the window in
order to see it, lyx just puts the cursor behind the expression but doesn't
scroll it into view. When I close the find/replace dialog and move the
cursor using the arrow keys I see that lyx has found the expression.

So, it seems to be just the scrolling.

Ok, I'll keep you informed if I am able to reproduce them.

You're welcome but you would do us a favor if could help us finish it.

I think it's the only way how I can contribute, as I don't know C++ very
well...

Thanks anyway.
