An afternoon's worth of editing with track-changes turned on has resulted in a compound document, one file per chapter, that will no longer allow me generate a PDF file using pdflatex. I also can't create DVI, but I imagine that there might be separate reasons for that. The worst thing is that as a result of bug #4481, I can't actually find the places where pdflatex believes my errors are coming from. Short for reverting all my changes and replaying them one-at-a-time to find which change causes the first problem to arise (black box problem diagnosis...) what can I do to fix my document? I have a diff file between the working and broken versions of my file, which are stored in a subversion repository (as text/x-lyx, thankfully!). I can send that to anyone who's interested, but I'd a bit large to send to the list. Cheers JP
