Granted. I just wanted to point out that the statement "Having another command then \selectlanguage set in the preferences means you're using LyX with arabtex" is not true. I have used other babel commands in the past. But this is just a theoretical discussion. To shorten it: I'm fine with Uwe's patch, also for branch. It would be good, however, if the otherlanguage environments could be supported as well. Jürgen
