Oh hell! I still didn't reply to that one... Sorry! I am overcharged these days ... Yes, the file should be under view. But let me explain again, more carefully: 1. start lyx without document 2. start new document newfile1.lyx via ctrl-N 3. open new window via File-> New Window 4. start new document newfile2.lyx in the new window via ctrl-N 5. Close the new window with a mouse click on the upper-right window-corner (that is important, because the behaviour is different when using the menu) At this point, the first strange thing happens: lyx doesn't ask you, whether you want to save the file newfile2.lyx 6. Now you should be in the old window, viewing newfile1.lyx In the menu view, you can still see newfile2.lyx. 7. Clicking newfile2.lyx in the menu view led to the crash... Wow! Something has changed! No crash this time! Has somebody fixed the bug? The strange thing that happens now is only that the tag-bar (is it called like this) only now becomes visible... No crash, no backtrace, sorry ;-) P.S.: I also noticed the new behaviour for a new window. Actually I find it better than before... At least it is good that the new window can have an independent content from the first. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean.
