A user, David Krebs, did a minor improvement on the background in terms of
readability. It's here:

I asked him for something a while back but haven't gotten a response yet,
which is the reason I didn't proceed with it then. Anyway, I think the
background is somewhat more readable. I can commit this, or send Pavel a
diff, in case he likes it.
