This is strange. The fix is identical in branch and trunk.

Yep. And I verified again that the cache is enabled/disabled in sync 
with with the checkbox (no need to restart). I suspect a conflict with 
an old RC file. Could you try to erase (or rename) your RC file and try 
again Bennett?
