1.5.2 - cpu usage 87%, but the speed is much better, you wont recognize it in
normal typing.
generally editing the box on this faster machine is ok, selectnig text
via arrow keys is slightly slower.
arrow/wheel motion on one page is ok, redraw to the next is ok.
have tried 1.5.2 on the same box under win xp and seems to be very similar.
i have no 1.6 binary to test.
meanwhile have found another bugs with regard to pg-down/up.
1) 1.5.2 - open all insets pg-down/up start work strangely, e.g. they do nothing
in some parts of document. one recipe to do is going by pg down to the end and
then try
to go to the start by pg-up. the whole movement stops somewhere in the middle (cursor
in front of the inset).
I can reproduce this.
not problem for 1.6 though.
2) 1.6 - again open all insets. go with the cursor to the spaces between first and
second box. try pg-down and only view changes, cursor stand where has previously been.
Really? I cannot reproduce that... weird... Are you sure you aren't
mixing up with scrollbar scrolling when "Cursor follow Mouse" is not set?
this happens in other forms during the movement through doc.
I don't follow you here.
