Furthermore (without looking at the patch) I think that LyX shouldn't just
quit after reconfigure, but popup a message, either

"LyX has been configured successfully. You need to restart it in order to
use it" (I think there's already such a message after ordinary reconfigure)

or

"Reconfigure failed. You can either reconfigure normally, or reconfigure
using default text classes, or quit LyX." (i.e., almost the same dialog
again, which is basically waht I proposed above).
