Just do whatever is necessary to backport this to branch (both the configure and the LyX changes should go in IMHO). Please wait for Jean-Marc's input, since he's the one who brought up the idea. If he agrees with the implementation, go ahead and apply (given that this is tested well, of course). Jürgen
