But that was what the user reported as bug. Nevertheless I'll try to take an empty argument instead
of zero.

I don't think a checkbox is really needed. What we should do is to allow for
an empty input, which means that the optional argument is not used.
But users won't know this, and it costs you more time to empty an edit field than to uncheck the
checkbox. A checkbox is more intuitive I think.
