Binary size (Mac 1.6-trunk)

Does anyone know why the size of a Mac binary compiled from trunk has  
increased to about 280 MB? The same compilation procedure (basically  
as outlined in INSTALL.MacOSX including install-strip) for the 1.5- 
branch results in a size of about 43 MB.
