Today LyX refused to close again, after the "unable to delete non-existent
directory", and I verified that the patch I sent for this problem does not work
(the other patches sent do work well).
I think this is a difficult bug, because I cannot reproduce it on demand, though
it occurs to me every day. As far as I know, it always occurs in a variant
of the following way (there may be others):
1-Open and modify at least 3 files, work period of 1-2 hrs.
2-Open and and modify and close one file 2 or 3 times.
3-Save changes and close files.
4-Close LyX by pressing the window manager X in the upper right hand corner.
On 4, nothing happens. I suppose this is where LyX deletes the temporary files
and directories.
Any subsecuente attempt to close LyX (short of a kill), will produce the
"unable to delete non-existent directory" warning.
I will keep trying to figure out what triggers this problem, in case the LyX
team has not found and eliminated it. I will not sent any other patches for
this problem until I have verified them (which will take a while).
