Perhaps we should check with Bo. I'm sure he knows exactly what version
we require and what its capabilities are. So I'm adding him to the cc

Lyx requires python 2.3 so changing i = i + 1 to i += 1 makes sense. I
did not follow the layout2layout thread so I can not comment on the
patch itself.
This will also please Jose' :-) He was complaining that people didn't use
+=
when they modified some lyx2lyx stuff :-)
