I might be able to set up a temporary system on a linux server that builds
with different options this weekend. That might make it easier to check
that it builds without warnings/errors? You'll have to tell me what
combinations of options I should test though.
Do you know if there's still a difference with using a separate build
directory? (In other words, is there a point to testing with and without a
separate build directory).
