I am not sure how to do that. Currently I have just removed the numbering in the cases where we output \thanks instead of \footnote. The patch is now committed (in 3 parts for readability). Compared to the patch posted yesterday I added the following: - numbering of InsetBibitem - when a float is defined, the corresponding counter is created automatically. This ensures that the counter and the float are always synchronised. JMarc
