The general idea is to implement a mechanism to return hints for
partial or full words. The major features in mind are
completion-on-demand (search existing text, no user configuration is
required)
Why search only the existing text? A new document have very
little of that.  If you search the spellchecker wordlist for
the language in effect, then you get more completions,
especially for short documents.
