Yes. The "-display" option works, without any additional
coding. Must be hidden in some of the Xforms or X11
functions that scan argv and argc. Don't know.
Could this be unix-specific (I'm on a RH linux 6.2 box)?
Try it out:
lyx -display <some_other_display>
So I thought it's worth mentioning in the "lyx -help"
documentation.
