You did not set french as one of your languages in your OSX prefs, did
you?
Mais oui! But English is still first. When I remove French, I get
menus in Japanese (the next language in my list).
Looking closer, I notice that there is no en.lproj folder in LyX.app/
Contents/Resources/. Manually creating that folder fixes the problem.
