Nothing personal, but I prefer meaningfull names wherever possible, that
is to say loop variables i,j,k are fine but anywhere else I really prefer
something readable. When I explain to newbie programmers (as a fellow
student in a university) how to name variables I suggest that they write
their programs such that they will sound like a story, I really believe it
simplifies the maintenance work later.
Anyway since it's not my call in the project I only raise the subject and
provide the patch so that in a future time someone else will need less
time to figure what the idea of the code is.
Just my humble opinion.
