When my document includs a listings (or a figure?) that is externally
modified, lyx does not know that so view->pdf simply bring back the
pdf file generated from last latex run.

You are right, File->Revert can do this. I have a mindset that
File->Revert will revert to the original loaded version, forget that
it will revert to disk file.

But I see a bug here: File->Revert can only be used on dirty buffers,
but it should be allowed even when a buffer is clean.
