It might be an iostreams bug. I mentioned at http://bugzilla.lyx.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3631 that the iostreams library is buggy in boost 1.34.0. This is supposed to be fixed in 1.34.1, so it might be a good idea to update to 1.34.1. Georg
