Hello,
I successfully compiled and installed my Lyx 1.5.0 that I had bilt from the sources on Ubuntu Feisty Fawn (current stable).

But when I try to run Lyx I get the following error:

$: lyx-1.5.0
Error: No system directory
----------------------------------------
Unable to determine the system directory having searched
        /usr/local/share/lyx-1.5.0/./
Use the '-sysdir' command line parameter or set the environment variable LYX_DIR_15x to the LyX system directory containing the file `chkconfig.ltx'.

Here are my options I used when compiling:

./configure --with-version-suffix=-1.5.0 --prefix=/usr/local/

instead of /make install/ I used checkinstall to have a *.deb file.

What can I do to have the native Ubuntu Lyx package besides my new 1.5.0 package?

Thanks for your help!

Timmie
