But this is then a bug. LyX currently swallows all author informations without confirmation. This is in my opinion a dataloss! Furthermore it is a bug that I can set my identity in the preferences but still get an empty author field in the LyX files. Currently an author is only set when change tracking was used. What I still miss is an option in the preferences to set this in every case.
