for you, and would do The Right Thing (TM), instead of inflating your

We all agree that it'd be better to not bundle boost but this is a
compromise between easing developers' work and easing porters' work. Up
to version 1.34.0, all version of boost needed to be patched. Maybe we
should stop the bundling when 1.34.1 is out.
You (LyX) are pretty good, actually. Bundling boost is a minor offense.
The OpenOffice folks, for example, would've bundled the entire Qt4 with
their distribution. Just in case...
You mean the Qt4 source? that's bad indeed.
