It looked from your comments that you were keeping the window smaller. You just have to resize it, if you put it back to maximum it should still run fast for a while. (Or it's not the same bug.) I guess it's not the same bug. LyX 1.5rc1 is constantly slow for me. If I decrease the window size it speeds up a little bit. I would rather have a smooth working program than a smooth looking program meaning LyX 1.4.3doesn't look as nice but it sure does perform better. Bob
