I only just paid attention to this thread because I built the latest LyX
and found that I don't like this change :) Sorry if my comment is
repeated.
I was sitting there, in bewilderment, because my overview of all the
pages on the left was missing! I tried, oh how I tried. Couldn't be
anything I did since five minutes ago, could it? Hmm. Wasn't using
evince before!
I've changed mine back to kghostview so I can navigate tons of boring
pages to find the one modification I made in LyX. Until LyX is able to
jump me to the location in the PS/PDF where my cursor is, I will always
require some help when navigating to that spot. Evince just isn't up to
it!
