Bennett,
I get an error:
AppleScript Error
Finder got an error: Can't make file "Macintosh
HD:Users:anek:Library:Fonts:lyx-math" into type reference. (-1700)
It comes directly after I click Install when running the LyX-
installer from the disc image.
No console messages.
I have no lyx-math in ~/Library/Fonts/ (or in /Library/Fonts/).
The installer is checking to see if you have obsolete fonts that
should be deleted, so it's no surprise that you don't have that
subdir.
The code for this hasn't changed since 1.4.0. I have no idea why
you're getting an error now. In any case, I tried throwing in an
error trap to just ignore whatever's going wrong in your case and
continue. Try the new version here:

Works excellent!
Good.
Also, the View-menu problem from the last is gone.
That's good, too. We'll see if others report similar success.
The only remaining problem I can see at a first glance is the
problem with the on-screen Times fonts. Since I guess you have used
the final version of QT4.3 I guess there is no hope that it is a QT
issue that will be solved before the release of 1.5 :-(
Is it possible to change the default to Times New Roman (or
similar). Doesn't solve the problem, but makes it less visible ;-)
Yes, I am using the final version of Qt-4.3. At this point, though, I
don't want simply to cover up problems; they should be fixed!
Do you know if there's a bugzilla entry on this?
