This is right, I should have been more precise. What I meant was:
In the "Edit" menu, the sub-menu entries
"Table of Content"
"List of Figures"
"List of Tables"
"List of Algorithms"
If the new quick navigation system, that would be good to remove them because
the "Edit" menu is becoming dangerously long.
I would say the menu system is becoming large.
These are a few ideas to discuss how it could be rebalanced.
- Add a "Tools" top menu item for Spellchecking, CheckTeX, Version Control, Fax
and other add-ons/plugins/whatever (bibliographic management tools, ...)
- The "View LaTeX log" could also go in the "Tools" menu, but this is just
because in my mind, Edit and View are two items that should be separated as a
matter of principle.
- Merge "TOC" with "Documents" and call the result "Go"

They are fast enough.
Can't remember how the 1.1.4 was.

Actually, I was just playing around with the dialog box. The default encoding
(latin1) and spellchecking for this document works all right.
The reason for this curiosity is that the document was written in English but
had the occasional French names in it.
