The problem is just the displaying. I encounter the same problem when I want to use "Equation Box" (i.e. "\mobx{}" in LaTeX terms).
Just FYI, AFAIK at least in hebrew, latex doesn't support RTL inside math stuff. i.e. $a_1+b^{\text{RTL}}$ would keep the order of RTL, left-to-right.
